12 Days of Christmas-Day 5: Jingle Bells Book Treat Boxes

Welcome to my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

Today is Day #5 and I’m sharing Stampin’ Up! Book Treat Boxes

The Book Treat Boxes are a cute and quirky twist on treat boxes that will make your loved ones squeal with delight. Decorate with your favorite paper, stamps, embellishments, and trim for all giftable occasions.

I made mine with a belly band so the box could be reused/recycled. See my DOstamping Tips below.

How’d She DO That? Jingle Bells Book Treat Box

Stamps/Bundles: Reindeer Fun Bundle – includes Dies (Last Chance)
Paper:
- Book Treat Box
- Real Red (1-1/4″ x 9″ for belly band, scrap for berries die cut)
- Basic White (1/2″ x 2-7/8″)
- Garden Green (scrap for holly leaves die cut)
- Gold Foil Sheets (scrap for bells die cut)
- Reindeer Fun Designer Series Paper (2-3/8″ circle, optional: 2-5/8″ x 3-3/8″ for inside box) – Last Chance
Ink: Real Red
Other: 2-3/8″ Circle Punch Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Real Red & White Baker’s Twine, Tear & Tape, Glue Dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

Book Treat Boxes: have two parts, an open box and a fold over “book cover”.
- Assemble the box by folding on all of the score lines. Remove adhesive backing from the two sides. Fold end flaps inward to form a box, then fold adhesives sides over the flaps and burnish with bone folder.
- Remove adhesive backing from inside of book cover (not the folder over tab). Then attach box inside the center back of the book cover.
Belly Band: Take 1-1/4″ x 9″ strip of Real Red and wrap around center of the entire box (including the fold over flap). Crease the edges as you go. Only adhere ends together in the front with Tear & Tape.
Decorate as shown with Reindeer Fun Bundle & Dies.
