Stampin’ Up! Painted Lavender 2-Step Stamping card by Dawn Olchefske #dostamping #HowdSheDOthat c

Instructions:

  • On a Basic White panel, start stamping from the right edge bringing the images downwards as you work towards the left.
    • stamp tall fuller floral image with Highland Heather ink.  As you stamp, also stamp a 2nd-time without reinking to create dimension (this is stamping off).   Continue stamping until you get the look you’re going for.
    • stamp skinny detailed floral image with Gorgeous Grape ink over  first images – stamping off on the stamped-off images.  You’ll find this is not a perfect alignment between the 2 images.
    • stamp leafy image using Shaded Spruce ink, filling in white areas – stamping off as you go.
  • Use a Blending Brush and Shaded Spruce ink and gently apply ink over the bottom area of the card – as shown.
    • TIP: Start by blending color in circles onto a scratch paper first and then working onto your project.
    • I always start with a really light touch first, then add more pressure if I want a deeper color – especially when using dark colors like Shaded Spruce.
  • Adhere to folded card base.
  • Stamp sentiment with Blackberry Bliss ink onto Highland Heather Heartfelt Hexagon cut out.  Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp butterflies on scrap of white with Gorgeous Grape ink.  Die cut and adhere to card with glue dots.
  • Attach gems where desired.
  • Optional : stamp inside panel using the same stamping/blending techniques. Note: butterflies were stamped on the inside panel (not die cut)
