For today's project…
My title is a little bit misleading. That's because it's not 9 squares, but 9 rectangles. I thought 9 rectangled sounded off. In fact, rectangled is not actually a word. So that's probably why. But I digress.
Either way – I'm lovin' the layout. This card came about because I was going through some of my older cards to donate to the church. Whenever I do that, I pull a couple aside that I like the layout or fold, for inspiration for later card making.
For this card layout – I thought the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper would work perfectly. tI did not disappoint! I actually made several of these using different pattern combinations and they all look fabulous. I'll share more of them later.
How'd She DO That? 9-squared Modern Garden Birthday card
- Stamps/Bundles: Modern Garden Bundle (with punch)
- Paper:
- Pretty Peacock (11" x 4-1/4" card base, scrap for Bough Punch)
- Basic White (4" x 5-1/4" for inside, scrap for sentiment punch)
- Lost Lagoon & Calypso Coral (scraps for Bough Punch-floral)
- Garden Walk 6×6 Designer Series Paper (9 of 1-1/8" x 1-5/8" – 3 in three coordinating patterns)
- Ink: Pretty Peacock
- Other: Calypso Coral 3/16” Braided Linen Trim, Blooming Pearls, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue
DOstamping Tips:
- On folded card base, arrange and adhere all 9 DSP pieces. To help with placement:
- start with bottom row, adhering the middle section last
- then work around the card starting in each corner
- you'll end in the center of the card.
Right now, the Garden Walk Suite Collection [162240] is my favorite. I can't stop making cards with it. I'm looking forward to sharing more with you. I recommend adding to your shopping cart today!
