Background Stamping: Autumn to Remember Anniversary Card, Last Day Reminders

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my hubby for our 37th anniversary, coming up this weekend.

It features a custom stamped background using the Autumn to Remember Stamp Set.  I'm a fan of creating my own backgrounds and it's a great way to use your stamps and ink to create a fabulous custom look.

How'd She DO That? Autumn Anniversary card (click on product to order online)

• Stamps: Autumn to Remember, Caring Leaves (sentiment)
• Paper:
  • Pecan Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4-1/4" x 4-1/4") 
  • Daffodil Delight (4-1/4" x 4-1/2")
• Ink:  Daffodil Delight (large oak leaf), Pecan Pie (small oak leaf, acorn)
• Other:  Stampin' Daubers, Labeled With Love Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Pecan Pie 3/8" Center Stripe Ribbon, Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Background Stamping Tips:

• When creating my own stamped background, I typically choose 3 coordinating colors.  But this time I chose two, Pecan Pie and Daffodil Delight.
• Always start with your largest image, working down to your smallest image.
• When I finished stamping, I still had a lot of white space, so I used Stampin' Daubers to fill in.  The splattering of circles was a nice compliment to the other images.
• The 1-3/4" Pecan Pie circle is a nice was way to bring a circle to the Labeled With Love Punch sentiment.
