Cheers & Sips Bundle: Misted Blocks Technique

Today I’m sharing a fun and cheery card using products from the Online Exclusive Celebratory Sips Suite.

Handcraft a celebratory, artsy and tastefully layered card to toast life’s joyful moments.   The fun chunky background was created by using a clear block, ink pad and Stampin’ Spritzer.  Check out my DOstamping Tips below.

How’d She DO That? Misted Blocks card

• Stamps/Bundles: Cheers & Sips Bundle – includes dies
• Paper:
  • Old Olive (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
  • Basic White Thick (3″ x 5″)
  • Basic White (scrap for Nested Essentials banner die cut
  • Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper (1″ x 4″ – cut right end into a banner)
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Lemon Lime Twist, Peach Pie, Lemon Lolly
• Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Nested Essentials Dies, Clear Block C, Stampin’ Spritzer, Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems, Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Masking Paper (or Sticky Notes)

DOstamping Misted Blocks Tips:

• Get prepared by making sure your clear block is CLEAN and fill the Stampin’ Spritzer with water.
  • Tap clean Clear Block C onto ink pad and get it thoroughly inked.
  • Spritz water onto inked black – 2-3 times, then stamp on to Basic White Thick panel.
  • I stamped the top and bottom blocks first, then the middle one.  Let dry before stamping images.
• For stamping images, use masking for layering images.

These colors remind me of the 70’s and the avocado & orange kitchen I used to have.  I guess that really dates me!
