Welcome to Day #4 of my Creative Connections presentation of Darling Details Bundle. Today I’m sharing a card that features the fabulous frame dies that come with this bundle!
This might be my favorite card of the bunch. I love the colors, the way the frame turned out (see tips below) and the touch of ribbon!
How’d She DO That? Darling Frame Thank You card
- Stamps/Bundle: Darling Details Bundle (includes dies)
- Paper:
- Calypso Coral (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
- Basic White (3-3/8″ x 4-5/8, scrap for punch)
- Basic Black (4″ x 5-1/2″ to die cut frames – see tips below)
- Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Calypso Coral, Bubblebath
- Other: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick, Stampin’ Pierce Mat, Double Oval Punch, 1/4″ Black & White Gingham Ribbon , Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Stampin’ Seal, Foam Adhesive Strips, Mini Glue Dots
How cute is this altered frame?
I discovered this altered frame trick when playing around with the Darling Details Dies frames.
DOstamping Tips:
- To die cut an “altered frame”: place both large and small frames onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ panel
- Run everything through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine all at the same time.
- Something to note, both frame dies ONLY cut the decorative details and the INSIDE of the frame.
- So when die cut both at the same time, you get three pieces, shown below.
- I used the “skinny” altered frame on this card…I love the way it turned out.
I have to pat myself on the back for this idea. It think it’s brilliant. What do you think?
