Welcome to Day #3 of my Creative Connections presentation of Darling Details Bundle. Today I’m sharing a One Sheet Wonder project and Color Buddies.
What is a One Sheet Wonder (OSW)?
- Good question. For this project, it’s an 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of Basic White cardstock, randomly stamped over the entire piece. Then cut into multiple pieces to create multiple cards.
- One of the first things you’ll need to decide when you’re stamping a One Sheet Wonder is…what colors you’ll want to use. As the Darling Details stamp set is a 2-step stamp set, knowing what colors go together is a good first start. See below for the “Color Buddies” I used.
- For stamping, always start with your largest image and work down towards the smallest images.
- Stamping off is a good technique to enlist for OSW. For mine, I stamped these the large solid flower (Bubble Bath) and tiny flower (Gorgeous Grape) both in full strength and stamped-off to get a variety of color tones. (It’s hard to see the stamped off Bubble Bath large flowers, but they are there to help fill in even more white space).
- Note: if after stamping the entire sheet, you find you have too much white space…continue to add images until you’re satisfied. This can also be done after cutting your OSW.
- For my project – I cut the sheet in in half at 4-1/4″, then cut everything into 2″ strips. Got enough for 10 cards! Perfect for mass-producing cards for the holidays.

- Stamps: Darling Details
- Paper:
- Bubble Bath (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
- Basic White (8-1/2″ x 11″ for OSW-cut down to ten 2″ x 4-1/4″ pieces, scrap for punch)
- Berry Burst (2-1/4″ x 4-1/2″)
- Glorious Gingham 6×6 Designer Series Paper (1/2″ x 3″)
- Ink: Berry Burst/Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green/Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral/Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight
- Other: Double Oval Punch, Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack , Ombre Matte Decorative Dots. Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
