Tart&TangyStamp

Today's project comes under the category of Clean & Simple.  Lately, I've been drawn to this style of stamping.  The cards below were inspired by a swap I received at Founders Circle from my friend Penny.  Here's a card I made last fall with the same layout.

I had planned to add a greeting using Stampin' Up!'s Chat Room Rub-Ons from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  But can I find them!  Nope, not anywhere.  Does anyone else suffer from the "I can't find it" disease?

CardGroupingB

I paired each of these cards with Stampin' Up!'s 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  The circles are punched with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch (Orange & Lime circles use a 1" circle  punch).  The next Whisper White Layer measures 1-3/4" x 1-3/4".  The mats of coordinating color measure 2" x 2" (Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Olive Olive & Chocolate Chip).

Now, I need something to put them in.  I started wracking my brain for just the right container and then remembered a stationary portfolio I made several years ago.  I thought I could adapt it for this project.

A couple of things I like about this Portfolio Holder Box:

1.  No adhesive – love it!
2.  Quick & Easy
3.  It can accommodate cards with bulky ribbon
4.  Did I say, Quick & Easy?

So, which card do you like?  Orange, Strawberry, Apple or Cherries?  I'm leaning toward the cherries card myself.  I really like the way the black sets off the cherries image.  Let me know your favorite when you leave your comment today (which enters you in the drawing* for the Tart & Tangy stamp set and Portfolio Holder Box w/cards project pack)!

  10. You may consider this clean and simple but it packs a punch. I have to say I love the look of the 1 1/4 ribbon but am never sure how to incorporate it into a card. You did an awesome job with the whole set. Inspiring. I am an apple person so that is my favorite one, besides I love the chocolate chip ribbon. Great job.

  11. I’ll take CHERRIES anytime!! 😀 Cutest cards ever!! I wish there was a red striped ribbon like these…. Just had a thot; how about inking the black with real red reinker. I gotta try that 😀 Holder is GR8 too! I just decided that the only colors I REALLY need are red, white, and black. It will work for Christmas, Valentines, Graduation and weddings; those are the only cards I ever get made anyways (other than your camps)!

  12. My fav is the orange as rarely use that color except for Halloween. They are all beautiful though, especially with the matching portfolio. Awesome gift for anytime of year. The wide, striped ribbon really ties it all together. Thanks, Dawn, for another great PDF and chance to win Tart & Tangy!

This time I actually do have a favorite…I like the orange the most (but like the other three too), because you can also make it “lemon” & “lime” by changing the colors…be snowed in for over a week now, it’s so nice to see some “summer” theme!
Thanks for another chance to win!

You asked “Does anyone else suffer from the “I can’t find it” disease?”…umm, several times a day! I die cut a large scallop circle to use on a card and it promptly disappeared. I still have not found it!
