DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #240: KISS with Petal Garden DSP

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.  

As I just returned from the fabulous Stampin' Up! Thailand incentive trip, I'm still having a bit of trouble with jet lag.  So for today's card I'm using the KISS method, Keepin' It Super Simple!  I noticed that these colors are in the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack…so that was my starting point.

Petal Garden KISS card

1. Cut 4 patterns of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack into 6" x 3/4" strips.  Cut ends with Triple Banner Punch.  Arrange strips on 4" x 5-1/4" panel of Sweet Sugarplum at various heights.  Adhere and trim off excess.
2. Wrap 1/8" Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon around panel and tie in a bow.
3. Stamp greeting from Happy Birthday Gorgeous with Fresh Fig ink on scrap of Whisper White.  Die cut with Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
4. Adhere completed panel to folded 11" x 4-1/2" Sweet Sugarplum card base.

Designer Series Paper is one of my favorite products to reach for when I'm in a hurry to make a card.  It not only helps me narrow down the choice of colors to use, but also creates beautiful cards in an instant!

TIP:  whenever I purchase Designer Series Paper, I also purchase the matching cardstock, ink and accessories.  Then I'm ready to go at a moments notice!
