DOstamping Celebration Day#4: Festival of Prints Tree Card & Give-a-Way

Before we get to today's celebration, I just want to say how much I'm touched by all your sweet, kind, generous and sometimes funny comments. I have read them all (over 400 of them – wow!).  Some have brought tears to my eyes and some have made me laugh.  I know it's a busy time of year and to take time from your busy day to leave a comment, that means a lot to me!  My readers are the best and I SO appreciate YOU!  Ok – enough of the mushy stuff.  Let's get to it…

Welcome to DOstamping Celebration Day #4 and today's easy, flat for ease of mailing Festival of Prints DSP Christmas Tree Card & Video.

stampin up, dostamping, dawn olchefske, demonstrator, festival of prints dsp, christmas tree card

Today's card was inspired by the bi-monthly demonstrator magazine, Stampin' Success.  Each time I receive one of these magazines, I curl up on the couch and earmark projects that inspire me, as well as articles I find useful for my business.

Of course, I rarely make the exact same card, but this one is pretty close.  In today's under 5 minute video, I share tips for cutting strips of the Festival of Prints DSP to make two cards at the same time…huge timesaver!!  Great for any last-minute cards you still need to make.

  1. Tulle and you Miss Dawn are the bestest buddies a crafter can have. Seriously. Over the years I’ve learned so much from you and your wonderful tutorials. I wouldn’t be the crafter I am today without you. You’ve taught me a lot about sharing too. 😀 And this years Tulle ribbon has become my favorite accessory. When I first saw its gentle sweeping curves I fell in love. Took me a little while to figure out what to do with it but now I’m hooked. And a little goes such a long way. Now if we can just convince SU it needs to stay! I know…I say that every year about some accessory from the holiday catalog. Last year it was the jingle bells…this year..it’s tulle..okay…and the champagne glimmer paper! Hugs and Merry Christmas!

Ahhhh tulle…I’ve loved seeing what can be done with tulle…for me, the biggest hit this year would have to be its use on the ornament on the catalog front….so pretty.

  11. Super cute tree–another reason to love double sided DSP! Love the idea that I can make two different cards just same design and that it’s mail friendly. I’ve never worked with tulle but would love to be able to try some.

  18. What a great way to use up those scraps of Christmas DSP that I couldn’t bear to throw away! Love it! Oh the ideas your tree has sparked! In my mind I’m also seeing this reworked a little to make a birthday or wedding cake using DSP appropriate for each. Thanks for the inspiration, and the springboard to other card ideas!
