Faux Tile Stamping Card
(Bold = From 2011 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Mini Catalog )
Stamps: Take it to Heart (125520w or 125522c), Loving Thoughts (125843w or 125845c), Fresh Vintage (FREE w/$50 order)
Ink: Pool Party (122938)
Paper: Pool Party (122924), Whisper white (100730)
Accessories: Big Shot (113439), Square Lattice Texture Impressions Embossing Folder (119976), Stamp-a-ma-jig (101049), Decorative Label Punch (120907), Simply Scored (122334), Rhinestone Jewels (119246), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)
Instructions:
1. Fold 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ of Whisper White cardstock in half – this is the card base (this was done for you).
2. Run 5-3/8″ x 4-1/4″ of Pool Party through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Texture Impressions Embossing Folder (this was done for you).
3. Adhere textured piece to the white folded card base.
4. Score 3″x4″ piece of Whisper White at 1″ intervals going in both directions to form a tile pattern (this was done for you)
5. On the side with the score marks going into the paper, stamp image from Fresh Vintage randomly with Pool Party ink. TIP: don’t press too hard. The look you’re going for is a Faux Tile look. When you press too hard, the ink goes into the scored lines and we want the score lines to break up the stamped image to give it the correct “tile” look.
6. Mat with 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ of Pool Party cardstock
7. Adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
8. Stamp the “banner frame” from the Take it to Heart stamp set with Pool Party ink onto Whisper White scrap.
9. Use Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the greeting from Loving Thoughts with Pool Party ink. (for a video tutorial on how to use a stamp-a-ma-jig, click here: http://dostamping.typepad.com/dostamping_with_dawn/2011/10/stampinup-its-a-wrap-hershey-nuggets-gift-wrap-video.html)
10. Cut out banner image
11. Adhere Pool Party Decorative Lable Punch out to back center of the banner.
12. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
13. Adhere Rhinestone Jewels to banner
