2: Dahlia Triple Time Stamping – video coming
How’d She DO That? Dahlia Triple Time Stamping card
- Stamps/Bundles: Delicate Dahlias (FREE Sale-a-Bration $100 level choice)
- Paper:
- Misty Moonlight (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base; 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″)
- Basic White (2″ x 3-1/4″, 3″ x 4-1/4″, two of 4″ x 5-1/4″- one for inside )
- Granny Apple Green (3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″)
- Ink: Misty Moonlight, Granny Apple Green
- Other: Playing with Patterns Resin Dots, Stampin’ Seal & Stampin’ Dimensionals
Instructions:
- Fold card base and adhere one of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ white pieces inside the card.
- Take the remaining white pieces and with using a small about of “temporary” adhesive in the only center area, layer smallest to the largest pieces together. TIP: use Stampin’ Seal for adhesive and just pressed on it with your finger until it looses some of it’s tackiness. You’ll need to be able pull all 3 pieces apart after stamping.
- Stamp over all three pieces at the same time:
- Stamp sentiment on the small top panel.
- Stamp large solid flower image by inking with Misty Moonlight, stamp off on scrap paper, then stamp onto the 3 layers. TIP: I recommend adding extra pressure with your palm to the areas of the stamp that fall into a “seam” area – to get more ink onto it. When you pull the stamp up, you’ll notice that there will be white space in those areas just off the panel edges. That’s OK, the color layers will cover them.
- Stamp solid and detailed leaf images with Granny Apple Green.
- Gently pull all three layers apart and adhere to coordinating colored mats (Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Green). Adhere the 2 largest panels to the card front.
- Wrap ribbon around smallest panel and tie in a bow. Adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Attach dots as desired

- Paper:
- Gorgeous Grape (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base)

Instructions:

- Stamp butterflies on white panel with Gorgeous Grape and let dry
- note the above photo doesn’t show the stamping, as I wanted to let you see what the stenciling only looks like (as you could just do that without stamping.
- Create Stencil:
- I recommend using a thicker cardstock or thin cardboard, like the white backer board that comes with our Designer Series Paper Packs. Especially if you want to save and reuse the stencil.
- Die cut the “group of butterflies” single die from (5-1/2″ x 6-1/2″) Thick Basic White. NOTE: for club members, I’ve die cut the “butterfly stencil” for you)
- Use Stencil:
- On a piece of scratch paper (to protect your surface), place a small amount of Stampin’ Seal. Rub fingers over it to take away some of the stickiness. Place the stamped white piece over the adhesive (this will keep it in place so it doesn’t slide around. I learned this the hard way – ha!).
- On the back side of the stencil, add adhesive to a couple corners (rub away some stickiness). Place stencil over white piece – aligning the butterfly images.
- Use Blending Brush to add Highland Heather ink through stencil in a circular fashion. (Start with a little ink and then add more to get your desired shade).
- Remove stencil and stamped piece from scratch paper.
- Assemble:
- Adhere stenciled panel to folded card base
- Stamp sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink on white strip (leave room for bow) and adhere to Highland Heather strip. Then adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tie a bow with the ribbon and adhere with Glue Dot.
