Fancy Border Dies for Memorial Day

Today I’m sharing a card using the Online Exclusive Fancy Borders Dies and 2025-2026 Annual Catalog The Right Words stamp set.

Last month I made a “rainbow” card using the heart border from the Fancy Borders Die set (I haven’t shared it yet).  But while looking at it this week, I thought I can do something similar and make it into a flag (for a patriotic card).  Yay…it worked!!

How’d She DO That? Fancy Border Memorial card

• Stamps: The Right Words 
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (4-1/4″ x 11″ card base)
  • Basic White ( 4″ x 5-1/4″, scrap to fussy cut sentiment)
  • Poppy Parade (1-1/2″ x 5-1/8″ for bottom stripes, 2-3/8″ x 3-1/8″ for upper right stripes)
  • Night of Navy (2″ x 2-3/8″ for upper left section)
• Ink:  Night of Navy
• Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Fancy Border Dies (also comes in a bundle), Flower Accents, Stampin’ Seal, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• The trick to lining up the Fancy Borders heart border die is to start in the center of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ white panel.
• Then die cut the top and bottom
• Then die cut in between the top & center and bottom & center die cuts (shown in photo)

• When adhering the red & blue sections, flip over the die cut piece and add Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the spaces between the die cut borders. Then adhere to folded card base with Stampin’ Dimensional edges.
• Wrap Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack around the card fold and into a knot.
• Finish off by attaching the new Flower Accents in the holes in the blue section.  They reminded me of stars.
