NEW Lovely Garden Suite: Decorative Masks!

Today I’m sharing a colorful card featuring the NEW Online Exclusive Lovely Garden Suite!

I didn’t think I needed another floral set.  But as the Thankful Garden Bundle also comes with decorative masks, that will make TWO flowers, I thought I would give it a try.  And now I’m in love!!  See supplies, measurements and tips below.

How’d She DO That? Thankful card

• Stamps/Bundles: Thankful Garden Bundle (includes stamp, dies and masks)
• Paper:
  • Fresh Freesia (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
  • Basic White (4″ x 5-1/4″, 3-1/2″ x 5″ for flower, scrap for 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ Textures Notes die cut)
  • Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper (1-3/4″ x 4″)
• Ink:  Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Garden Green, Tuxedo Black Memento
• Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Fresh Freesia 1/8″ Faux Velvet Ribbon, Starburst Sequins, Stampin’ Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• When I use a Decorative Mask, I like to start by “anchoring” my cardstock by using a small amount of adhesive in two places to temporarily adhere it to my grid paper (scratch paper).  NOTE:  I first rub my finger over the adhesive to remove some of the stickiness.
• Place the first mask  onto the cardstock (they are numbered).  Use a pencil to mark the notch (located next to the number).  Use washi tape or small sticky notes to secure mask to the grid paper.  Then with a  Blending Brush, add Fresh Freesia ink over mask.
• For the 2nd mask, match up the notch with the mark and add sticky notes.  Then with a  Blending Brush, add Highland Heather ink over mask.
  • mask 3 = Gorgeous Grape ink
  • mask 4 = Garden Green ink – press lightly
  • mask 5 = Garden Green ink – ink up brush with lots of ink for a darker shade
• Then stamp the coordinating line image flower with black ink.  This is optional, but I liked the look.
