Today I'm sharing a fabulous card that my DOstamping@Home Club members received in their club packet this month.
This Diamond Gate Fun Fold card is a version of the Double Fold Gate card (I shared several years ago), but with a slightly different cut for the diamond shape. See my DOstamping Tips below to create this fabulous Fun Fold!
How'd She DO That? Perennial Lavender Gate Diamond Fun Fold Card
- Stamps: Layering Leaves (for sentiment)
- Paper:
- Gorgeous Grape (4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card base panel, scrap for 2" Circle Punch)
- Crumb Cake (3-3/4" x 5" for inside, scrap for 2" Circle Punch)
- Lost Lagoon (scrap for leafy die cut)
- Highland Heather (scrap for flower die cut)
- Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP) (5-1/4" x 12 – see DOstamping Tips below)
- Ink: Gorgeous Grape
- Other: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Painted Lavender Dies, 2" Circle Punch, Linen Thread, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals
DOstamping Diamond Gate Fun Fold Tips:
- Create gatefold with 5-1/4" x 12" piece of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper
- score at 2", 4", 6" & 8"
- fold inwards on the 4" & 8" scored lines, then fold back the 2" sections. Reopen DSP flat
- on right edge, mark with a pencil the halfway point at 2-5/8" down from the top.
- draw a line from that point diagonally up to the top of the first scored line and trim off "triangle".
- flip over the DSP triangle and adhere it to the bottom of that same panel (so the right panel looks like half a diamond shape).
- repeat with the left edge of the DSP.
- Optional: Adhere a 3-3/4" x 5" panel to inside middle section.
