Recently I received a fabulous swap from Brenda Hudrieke, made with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and knew immediately I needed to make one! At first glance – it might look hard to do. But once you do one, you'll just want to keep making them. Yes, they are that easy!
First – here is Brenda's Something For Baby card…
Stinkin' cute, huh?!

Now, my Sea Street card…

If you want to follow along on my How'd She DO That? video…you'll need the following supplies:
- Scallop Tag Topper Punch
- Stampin' Trimmer (both scoring and cutting blades)
Measurements for Scallop Tag Topper Card:
- Base cardstock (5-1/2 x 8-1/2") NOTE: do not pre-score
- Designer Series Paper layer (5-1/4 x 2-1/4")
- Inside panel – 5-1/4" x 4"
I taught this fun card at my stamp club last month, so I needed an easy way for the club members to line up the Scallop Tag Topper Punch without a lot of measuring. You'll definitely want to check out my alignment tip using Stampin' Up!'s Grid Paper, shown on my How'd She DO That? video below.

Dawn, thanks for the template tip; that’s the perfect solution for this card! I also like how you used the baker’s twine to tie it closed; much easier to tie and retie than ribbon in this situation. I love your videos too – keep ’em coming! 🙂 🙂
Thank you Naomi! Glad you liked the alignment/template tip. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Dawn, you are amazing! I have been making this card for a while, and I love its design. However, I have to say, your idea to make the template couldn’t be more needed for me! I kept “eyeballing” too, and sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. I am going to make templates for all my girls in my group. I also adore this little octopus, he’s so cute and I love him peeking out of this card! Great idea! TFS
Oh duh! So sorry Dawn. Found ya! lol I did email you the card that I copied from your video today. Thanks so much for the lovely tutorial. I had to use alternate tools so mine is somewhat different! xoxo Jen
Jen – I got your email. Your card is SUPER cute!! TFS!
Dawn,I loved your idea about simplifying the process of making this card.I’m sure someone besides me wondered at the time of purchasing the Scalloped Tag topper Punch, now just what am I going to do with this. Boy, howdy,we sure know now. Thanks!
Just so adorable and with such an excellent video. Thank you for sharing Dawn!
