Today I’m sharing a lovely holiday card featuring one of my favorite 9-square layouts, created with Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper (from the Stampin’ Up! 2024 Jan-Dec Mini Catalog)
How’d She DO That? Sentimental Christmas 9-Square card
- Stamps/Bundles: Decorative Trees (sentiment), Golden Greenery Bundle – includes dies
- Paper:
- Basic White Thick (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
- Basic White (3-1/4″ square, scrap for sentiment)
- Poppy Parade (3-1/2″ square)
- Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper (nine 1″ squares, three of three designs)
- Ink: Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, Old Olive
- Other: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Labeled With Love Punch, Blooming Pearls, Gold Twisted Thread, Stampin’ Seal, Stampin’ Dimensionals
DOstamping Tips:
- Cut three patterns from the Christmas Sentimental Designer Series Paper into three 1″ squares (from each pattern). Arrange and adhere the 9 squares on the white 3-1/4″ square.
- For the “greenery”, I stamped the smaller detailed pine bough (Golden Greenery) with Old Olive and Shaded Spruce – both stamped off first. Then I die cut – it didn’t fit perfectly, but it was a good start. Finished it up by fussy cutting some areas a little bit closer.
- For the sentiment I liked the Labeled With Love Punch shape, but wanted it smaller. So with the punch upside down (so I could see the image), I cut it with the image close to the right edge. Then I slid it back into the punch from the left edge and cut off the left edge (centering the image). Love the way it turned out!
