Last month I tried a new style of Stamp Camp – A PJ Party! My goal was to give my campers a relaxing evening of stamping, fun, food, games & socializing without feeling like they had to hurry up, make their projects and get home. It seems like us women sometimes feel guilty when we take time for ourselves. I really wanted to provide a relaxing, fun atmosphere – I hope that was accomplished.
I rearranged my living area to create a space for relaxing/lounging. So I only had spots for 15 people and it filled completely. I generally don't like fill up completely. I like to leave a couple of empty chairs so people don't have to wait too long for a spot to open up. But instead – I encouraged them to sit in the "lounge area", visit the candy table (see below) and enjoy the company of others while they waited for a spot to open. I think at first – people were a little slow to warm to the lounge area, but by the end – I think everyone was enjoying the ability to just lounge!
Here are a few pictures from the camp:
CANDY TABLE
Everyone brought a treat to share at the candy table. They each received a small treat bucket which they decorated with Stampin' Up! Thrills and Chills Rub-ons. (ooh! Speaking of Rubon's - stop by on November 10th for a special annoucement).
Actually – I forgot to take pictures of the candy table during the event. There was tons and tons of candy! This is only what was left.
GAMES WE PLAYED
Stamptionary – a take off of the Pictionary game but with Stampin' Up! clues. The other game we played was a 3-handed stamp race. This is Deb & Barb who I'm afraid didn't win the race. But boy their card looked pretty good when they were done.
Check back for more of the fun and of course the stamping projects all week long!
Thanks for stopping ~ Dawn O

Okay, I’m just dying to know how to play Stamptionary?! That sounds like such a fun game for our December club meeting!
