You can't go wrong with a Holiday Card using Stampin' Up!'s Lovely as a Tree stamp set. Plus, create a quick shadow background using Stampin' Up!'s Clear Block H and you'll be cranking out these cards in no time at all.
This card is a case of Amanda Mertz's card. The layout is the same, but I used different colors. I loved the way she used a Clear Block Shadow Background she to create a "frame" for the trees. I stamped the shadow block with Pool Party Classic Ink and the trees image is stamped with Island Indigo Classic Ink.
Dawn's Snowflake Die Cutting Tip:
I was having a little trouble die cutting the Silver Glimmer Paper Snowflake. It wasn't cutting all the way through very nicely. So I peeled off a layer of paper from the backside of the Silver Glimmer Paper, then die cut it. It worked like a charm!
Here's the exact same card using the exact same supplies with the exception of the card base. I couldn't decide which one I like the best. Which one do you like the best…Pool Party or Sahara Sand?

Hands down, I love the Sahara Sand!!! And I’m glad you told us what it is because I would have reached for my Crumb Cake, which I do too often and get less than the results I’ve been wanting. GLAD to hear the tip about the snowflake cutting, too. I’ve been wanting to color some of the Glimmer Paper and then do snowflakes. Hugs across the miles, Celia
Another die cut tip for the Glimmer Paper: I diecut jingle bells (non-SU, bad me) for all my Christmas cards and found that if the die cut into the PAPER side of the Glimmer Paper rather than the glitter side, it cut waaaaay better. So try turning the Glimmer Paper over and cut into the backside instead!
I like the Sahara Sand the best by far. I’m with Celia, my first thought would have been to go grab the Crumb Cake, but I can see that it’s definitely a lighter color and I do love the way this looks.
Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Thanks for sharing Cheryl (CLOcards)!
Thanks for the shout out for the inspiration for your card. I’m totally floored that you CASED one of my cards. I’m a loyal follower of yours and your projects are always awesome. I love the change with the Pool Party and the Sahara Sand bases! Thanks again! Amanda
