Stamping with the STARS #368: Blackberry Beauty meets Be Dazzling

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts368.  This week we’re sharing this fabulous sketch.

Today’s sketch was inspired by a card layout found on pg 6 of the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

Stampin’ Up! publications are my favorite way to get inspired.  If I’m having trouble getting started stamping, I just have look at all of the creativity shared in any one of our catalogs and away I go.

How’d She DO That? Be Dazzled Blackberry Beauty card

• Stamps: Very Versailles
• Paper:
  • Early Espresso (11″ x 4-1/4″ card base)
  • Very Vanilla (3-1/4″ square, 1/2″ x 4-1/2″ for sentiment punch, 4″ x 5-1/4″ for inside)
  • Be Dazzling 6×6 Specialty Paper (3″ x 4-1/4″) – FREE Sale-a-Bration choice with $50 order
  • Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper (3-1/4″ square)
• Ink:  Early Espresso
• Other:  Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, Stampin’ Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• For the focal point, start with a 3-1/2″ square of paper (see cutting suggestion below).  I adhered the Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper to the same size of Very Vanilla – to give it more stability.
• Cut 3/4″ strips from each end (total of two strips), then cut rest into 1″ strips (total of 2 strips).
• Adhere strips to FREE Sale-a-Bration Be Dazzling Specialty Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Start with the small “end” strips and fill in with the middle area with the larger strips.
• I’m in need of several “thinking of you” cards and the sentiment from the Very Versailles stamp set is just right.
• The new Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backers Dots are the perfect finishing touch!
