A great place to get inspiration is from the Stampin’ Up! catalogs. Today’s sketch was inspired by a project found on pg 2 of the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.
For my card, as you can see, I turned the sketch to landscape view and am happy with the results.
How’d She DO That? Painted Christmas card
- Stamps: Christmas Season Bundle (with Seasonal Label Dies), Christmas to Remember
- Paper:
- Crumb Cake (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base, scrap for label die cut)
- Basic White (scraps for stamping/die cutting small pinecones and sprig)
- Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper (4″ square, 1-1/4″ x 4″)
- Ink: Early Espresso (sentiment), Soft Suede (pinecones), Evening Evergreen (pine sprig)
- Other: Stampin’ Emboss & Cut Machine, Soft Succulent 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon, Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, Genial Gems, Stampin’ Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals
DOstamping Tips: (updated 9/13)
- For the tag, I used one of the Seasonal Label Dies, along with the “hole” die.
- For the small pinecones, use Soft Suede ink. Stamp off for the “solid” image.
- For the pine sprig, use Soft Succulent. Stamp off first.
- This can could be easily duplicatable for a holiday card!
