I’ve been making this style of card for the last couple of months. It’s a fun and easy go-to layout. My team liked it too. So it’s our sketch for today.
I selected the beautiful Flowing Flowers stamp set. Then set out to find a Designer Series Paper (DSP) that would coordinate with it. It surprised me to find a couple of patterns from the Symbols of Fortune DSP complimented it nicely. Another surprise was stamping the flower in Smoky Slate…who knew it would turn out so wonderfully!
How’d She DO That? Flowing Flowers Thank You card
- Stamps: Flowing Flowers
- Paper:
- Smoky Slate (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
- Basic White (2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″)
- Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper (two of 1″ x 3-3/4″)
- Ink: Smoky Slate, Versamark
- Other: Heat Tool, Metallics Stampin’ Embossing Powders, Brushed Metallic Dots, Stampin’ Seal & Stampin’ Dimensionals
DOstamping Tips:
- Make your sentiment stand out by heat embossing!
- Stamp sentiment with Versamark ink. Cover with gold Metallics Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Remove excess powder, then melt with Heat Tool.
- Voila! It also brings out the gold in the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper.

I saw a card you posted a while back using that sketch and I liked it so much I bookmarked it for a future CASE…which I just posted on my blog today 🙂 Love that sketch, it’s a great one.
