Stamping with the STARS #412 Sketch: Let’s Go Fishing!

When I saw today’s sketch, I knew I would be using the Let’s go Fishing Suite of products.

I envision a stringer of fish and I love the way it turned out.  Sometimes things don’t always translate from the mind to the paper, but this time it did!  A perfect card for my Dad.

How’d She DO That? Let’s Go Fishing card

• Stamps:  Gone Fishing Bundle (includes dies)
• Paper:
  • Wild Wheat (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base score & fold at 4-1/4”)
    Very Vanilla (4” x 5-1/4”, scrap for sentiment)
    Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper (1” x 5-1/4” (checked), ½” x 5-1/4” (fishing poles), scrap for die cutting (4) fish) 15% off in June
• Ink: Wild Wheat
• Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick, Stampin’ Pierce Mat, 2023–2025 In Color Jute Trim, Stampin’ Seal, Mini Glue Dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• From fish pattern DSP, die cut out four fish.
• Use Take Your Pick tool and Stampin’ Pierce Mat to make a hole near the top of each fish die cut.
• Knot the end of a 6-7” piece of jute trim. Thread the other end through each fish and knot off end.
• Arrange fish as desired and adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Arrange twine as shown, use a “rolled” up glue dot to help maintain desired shape.
