Stamping with the STARS #439: Easy A Little Bit Festive Cocoa Holder

It’s also Day #11 of my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

As I was playing with the A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) this week, I found a couple of adorable die cuts…hot cocoa cup and gingerbread man. I felt they needed to be the focal point an easy Cocoa Packet Holder. I took a few liberties with the Sketch, but I think the spirit of it is there.

How’d She DO That? Cocoa Packet Holder

Paper:
- Real Red (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ holder score at 4-1/4″)
- Basic White (scrap for largest Nested Essentials rectangle die)
- Joyful Saying Mis & Match Ephemera Pack – LAST CHANCE – From the North Pole banner die cut
- A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper – LAST CHANCE (2-1/2″ x 4″ for inside, 7/8″ x 5-1/4″, die cuts)
Other: Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool Real Red & White Baker’s Twine, Real Red & White Peppermints, Stampin’ Seal+, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals, office handheld hole punch

DOstamping Tips:

Create holder:
- Fold holder in half. On front only, mark 1″ from left folded edge on top and 2-3/4″ down on right open edge. Diagonally cut from 1″ mark to 2-3/4″ mark.
- While closed cut tree holes using handheld hole punch (I used 1/4″).
- Open packet, put tear and tape adhesive on very bottom inside edge (as shown). NOTE: you can also add the 2-1/2″ x 4″ top inside DSP piece at this time too. Close and seal tightly.
- Thread a 14″ piece of twine from top of holes to bottom and back up to top, crossing over previous thread. At top, thread on “north pole” die cut (used Take Your Pick Tool and poke a hole), and tie into a bow.

Adhere DSP strip and white rectangle die cut to front of packet as shown.
Adhere gingerbread man die cut to back of cocoa cup die cut and adhere to packet with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finish off with a few Real Red & White Peppermints.
Inside hot cocoa packet and give away to someone special!
