#SSC033 Thursday Challenge: Wizard of Oz and Glimmer Paper!

It's Thursday already…I can't believe another week has flown by!  Are you ready for a new Challenge Thursday.  Today's challenge is a "Musical Mania" challenge, #SSC033! 

Our inspiration for this week's challenge is the musical, "The Wizard of Oz."  Specifically Dorothy's Ruby Slippers. Use Stampin' Up!'s new Red Glimmer Paper (or add glitter to red card stock or red stamped images).

The technique I used on the "background" piece is called Herringbone Technique.  I wanted to do this technique because it kind of reminds of the pattern of the yellow brick road.  I love the way it turned out – woohoo!

  1. Hi Dawn, I really like this card. I wasn’t interested in the glitter paper til I saw it irl and then had to have some. So nice. And although I am sick of valentines this one is beautiful and I’d be very happy if someone sent it to me. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

  6. Dawn- Great challenge. As soon as I opened my package of Glimmer Paper I thought, “Wow! This is exactly like Dorothy’s shoes in the Wizard of Oz!”. I’ll have to play along with your challenge. Great card too, love the herringbone w/ sparkle!
