Your Creative Connection #105: I Can Sing a Rainbow

Welcome to another Your Creative Connection tour, #YCC105.  Our theme today is:  A Rainbow for You

The inspiration for my card today is a song we sang in Girl Scouts, “I Can Sing a Rainbow” (I’m singing it right now as I type).  It’s actually one of my favorites from my Girl Scout experience…oh the memories!  To see the lyrics, scroll down below the supply list.  But I digress…

As I was singing it, I thought,”how can I make a card using the song as my inspiration?”  Duh!  My Million Sales Achiever stamp set, Music from the Heart.  Of course, it’s a perfect choice!

How’d She DO That? Music of the Heart Rainbow card

• Stamps:  Music from the Heart, Beautiful You
• Paper:
  • Whisper White Thick (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
  • Whisper White (3-7/8″  x  5-1/8″)
  • Basic Black or Highland Heather (4″ x 5-1/4″)
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay
• Other:  Heart Epoxy Drops,   SNAIL

DOstamping Tips:

• Generation Stamping: 
  • Ink up “shadow” image (from Beautiful You stamp set),  stamp off on a scrap paper first.  Then stamp on music staff, for the card above.  Don’t re-ink yet, but stamp again on the music staff, for the card below.  Gives you multiple generations of color!  Plus you can make two cards at the same time!
• For card above – stamp “heart notes” with black ink.  Stamp small hearts with various matching colors and add small Heart Epoxy Droplets to small hearts.
• For card below – stamp “heart notes” with matching color & add medium Heart Epoxy Droplets to notes.
