Amber Autumn Bundle – Sketch, Stampin’ Blends & Splatter Magic!

Today I’m sharing a card that is all about fall textures, rich colors and seasonal charm. I had so much fun bringing this Amber Autumn Bundle card to life using a trio of favorites: a sketch-based layout, Stampin’ Blends coloring, and a splatter technique for that extra touch of whimsy.

✏️ Inspired by a Sketch

This card started with a simple sketch —perfect for layering elements and letting the focal image shine.

• I cut a 2″ x 4″ piece of Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper at an angle (3/4″ up from bottom left to top of right edge).
• More visual interest was added with the Irregular Weave 3/8″ Trim.

Sketches are such a great way to jumpstart creativity. Which is why my crafty STARS community’s creative challenge this month is Sketch & Share. This is one of 6 sketch inspirations we’re doing. These monthly challenge are totally optional, but are a great way to flex your creative muscles.

✂️How’d She DO That? Amber Autumn Sketch card

• Stamps/Bundles: Amber Autumn
• Paper:
  • Basic Beige (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base, 4″ x 5-1/4″) 
  • Basic White (scrap for leaves/acorns) 
  • Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper (2″ x 4″)
• Ink:  Early Espresso
• Stampin’ Blends:  Cajun Craze (light), Daffodil Delight (dark), Crumb Cake (both), Pecan Pie (both)
• Other:  Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Irregular Weave 3/8″ Trim, Streaked Dots, Stampin’ Seal & Stampin’ Dimensionals

💡DOstamping Tips:

• 🎨Coloring with Stampin’ Blends: The oak leaves and acorns were stamped with Early Espresso and colored using Stampin’ Blends. I love how these alcohol markers blend seamlessly to create depth and dimension. For this card, I chose warm autumn tones—think Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, and Pecan Pie—to echo the season’s palette.
• ✨ Splatter Technique for Texture: This came about by accident. When I removed the cover from the Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend, it accidentally left a few splatters on my panel. So…I just leaned into it. It’s subtle but adds so much texture! You can achieve this effect by flicking ink from the brush end against the marker cover. It’s messy in the best way—and no two splatters are ever the same!
• 🧡 Final Touch: Finish the card off with a trio of Streaked Dots.
