Welcome to the Control Freaks March 2011 Tour. We are thrilled to have you join us today. I'm your 7th stop this month. Our tour is nice and short, and features some of your favorite Control Freaks Stampers, sharing projects made with Stampin' Up! products. In fact, if you started in the middle of the tour, you may have just come fellow freaker Lisa Young's blog.
Our theme for this month is: Something Borrowed, Something Blue – Wedding Projects
To Have and to Hold: Something Borrowed Card
I would say, this card comes under the borrowed category. Why? Because I feel like I channeled my good friend Penny, who does the most beautiful neutral, tone on tone cards. I find myself going back over and over again to her style and adapting it to my own style!
Dawn' Stamping Supplies
Stamps: Everything Nice
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Paper: Very Vanilla cardstock
Accessories: Big Shot, Manhatten Flowers Texture Embossing Folder, Vanilla Rosettes, Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
To Have and To Hold: Something Blue Card

For my "blue" wedding card, I used the same "Everything Nice" stamp set, but gave it some color and more! Funny, how when you add Designer Series Paper, some leaves made with the Blossom Petals punch, and my "favorite" Pearl Jewels, you get a completely different look, but beautiful just the same. I can't decide which one I like the best. How about you?

Gift for the Bride
At Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference in January, I received a similiar bookmark using the Fun Flowers Die found in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog. I changed up the color and the embellishment in the center of the flower to make it my own.

Beautiful cards! I favor the cream on cream card. Very elegant!
That tone on tone card is exquisite.
I agree, the cream on cream card is wonderful. So elegant. And the touch of blue too. Love that card too.
Those are all wonderful Dawn! I haven’t bought seam binding yet, I know, what’s wrong with me and I nuts?? But I wouldn’t have thought it was elegant enough for such a beautiful wedding card. Well, that’s what I get for thinking apparently! lol
beautiful projects, Dawn — each and every one! Love the tone-on-tone of the first card — so very elegant! Thanks so much for being on the Freak’s tour again this month! Your friend — Gretchen
