Big Shot – Scallop Circle Dress Card

Here's one of my May Technique Tuesday cards.  This is so easy and so cute!

 Scallop-Dress-Card

Cut a Scallop Circle (#113468 for $19.95) from Red Riding Hood Pattern DSP (on sale, buy 3, get the 4th free), with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  Then cut away the sides to create the dress form.

Scallop-Dress-Pattern

Add a cute little belt for some bling (uses Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Clear Rhinestone brad from Pretties Kit and flower buckle from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware).

The greeting is from the Great Friend stamp set from the Occasions Catalog which ends June 30th.

Isn't it darling!!

  1. I love the purse, I live in Ohio if I pay the 15.oo class fee, would you email me the directions to make the cards and projects?

  2. Dawn,
I am a stampin up demo in Newfoundland, Canada. Did you use something to cut out your dress?? Or did you just eye ball it? I have tried this card a few times and my dress always looks funny! Too small in the waist or lop-sided. Please help. Thanks,

  3. Cheryl – As shown in the second photo, I used a pencil to draw my cutting lines. I recommend die cutting a scallop circle out of chipboard and cutting the curves for your dress shape. Then use it as a template to trace just the the “curved” areas onto your DSP die cut.
