On Sunday, I celebrated my 22nd Stampin’ Up! birthday!! It was one of the best decisions of my life! I’ve met so many wonderful people, traveled to lovely destinations (earned by less than 1% of demonstrators) and so much more.
So I thought I’d celebrate with a week of my favorite type of cards…Fun Folds!
For today’s Fun Fold card, I reached for the Online Exclusive Cake Celebrations Bundle. It also features the Online Exclusive Everyday Arches Dies. I’ve been wanting to make a folded card using these dies. See how in my DOstamping Tips below.
How’d She DO That? Celebrate Fun Fold card
- Stamps/Bundles: Cake Celebration Bundle – includes dies
- Paper:
- Basic White Thick (4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ card base score/fold at 5-1/2″)
- Pool Party (3-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ score/fold at 4-1/4″)
- Crumb Cake (scraps for large & small cake tier die cuts)
- Petunia Pop (scraps for large & small frosting, banner, cake stand insert die cuts)
- Daffodil Delight (1/2″ x 4-1/4″, scraps for banner, cake stand die cuts)
- Cute as Can Bee Designer Series Paper (1″ x 2-3/4″ plaid, 4″ x 5-1/4″ floral)
- Ink: Petunia Pop, Daffodil Delight
- Other: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Everyday Arches Dies, Paper Snips, Starburst Sequins, Take Your Pick, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals
DOstamping Tips:
- On small flap of card base, stamp Cake Celebrations stamp set starburst images with Daffodil Delight ink. Adhere strip of Daffodil Delight to bottom edge. Then adhere large floral Cute as Can Bee DSP to inside of card.
- Die cut folded Pool Party with 3″ x 4-1/8″ Everyday Arches. TIP: line up bottom edge of die just outside the Pool Party folded edge – this preserves the fold.
- Adhere plaid DSP to bottom of folded Pool Party arch. Adhere cake stand pieces together with liquid glue, then adhere where shown with Stampin’ Dimensional “edges”.
- Add Wink of Stella Glitter to Petunia Pop frosting die cuts and adhere to Crumb Cake cake tiers. Adhere large tier where shown.
- Before adhering small cake tier, trim off “poles” from Daffodil Delight banner. Adhere banner to Petunia Pop banner, slightly offset. Use glue dots to secure poles to back of cake tier and liquid glue for banner portion to adhere cake tier and banner to card.
- Attach Starburst Sequin using Take Your Pick tool
- Open card base to adhere folded Pool Party arch to center of inside of card. Then open arch, fold down top flap of card base and then fold arch up over the flap.
