DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challege #228: Everyday Hero Mom

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.  

Super stamps for super people: the stamping world never even saw this coming. Incredible stamps for every time you're amazed by a supermom, superdad, or one of the many heroes in your life!  With Mother's Day right around the corner, today's card is for Mom!

Everyday Hero is Mom

1.  Use Watercolor Pencils to scribble color onto 4-1/4" x 3-3/4" Watercolor Paper in "swatches" approximately 1-1/4" tall.  Press hard to get a deep color.  (Pacific Point, Real Red, Daffodil Delight.)  Blend with an Aqua Painter.  When dry, cut strips where colors meets (they'll roughly measure 4-1/4" x 1-1/4").
2. Use smallest star from (retitring) Stars Framelits Dies to cut three stars from each strip.  Save one star of each color and brush on Clear Wink of Stella Glitter.
3. Fold 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in half.  Stamp "lines" image (retiring Gorgeous Grunge stamp set) with Versamark ink.  Cover with Clear Stampin' Emboss Power and melt with Heat tool.
4. Adhere the 3 strips of color paper.  The adhere the "glitter" stars with Stampin' Dimensionals.
5. On to 2-3/8" Watercolor Paper circle (Layering Circle Framelit Dies), stamp "mom" images (retiring Everyday Hero stamp set) with Archival Basic Black ink.  TIP: start with "head" image working downward.  (NOTE:  the dots are from the Date It stamp set, or use a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to draw them).  Color images with Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painter.  When dry, cover "clothes" images with Wink of Stella.  
6. Adhere completed image to 2-1/2" Real Red Scallop Circle die cut.  Adhere loops of Silver Metallic Thread to back side and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. Attach Enamel Shapes Brights to card.
