Fall into Autumn Day 3: Harvest Home Kit

Welcome back friends! We’re midway into my Fall into Autumn Celebration Week, and today we’re diving into one of my favorite ways to make seasonal crafting simple, joyful, and totally customizable: Stampin’ Up! Kit Collections

Specifically, the Harvest Home Garland Kit – perfect for turning a kit into a keepsake. On sale right now for 20% off from Stampin’ Up! Kit Collection Sale – ends today!

🍂 This kit is bursting with texture and color – the layered leaves and life-like acorn accents are perfect for a wreath that feels like a love letter to autumn. Make a garland or turn it into wreath for your front door (like I did).

  • As I wanted to make a wreath, I used a wire cutter to trim it down to 35″ (though, I probably could have just cut it in half at about 32″).
  • Beside the Harvest Home Garland Kit, you’ll need a glue gun & glue sticks (I used 4).
  • Prepare the leaves: I stacked 4 sheets of laser-cut leaves and “punch” them out at the same time.

  • Then the fun begins…start hot gluing and creating your wreath (add the acorns last).
  • NOTE: I found sorting the leaves by color helped with the glue/assembly process. I only used the rust, neutral, gray and gold leaves (only needed 2 sheets of the gold).

Let’s add a Welcome Sign!

✂️How’d She DO That? Harvest Home Welcome Wreath

  • Paper:
    • Pecan Pie (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″)
    • Crumb Cake (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″)
    • Adhesive Sheets (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″)
  • Ink:  Pecan Pie
  • Other:  Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Party Alphabet Dies, Blending Brushes, Foam Adhesive Sheets

💡DOstamping Tips:

  • Adhere Pecan Pie & Crumb Cake cardstock together using Adhesive Sheets
  • Use Party Alphabet Dies:
    • On Pecan Pie side: die cut letters W, L, O, E
    • Flip over onto Crumb Cake side: die cut letter E, C, M
  • Using Foam Adhesive Sheets – cut into 1/4″ or less strips and adhere letters together as shown.
  • Adhere “welcome” left and right edges to wreath (use hot glue to reinforcement). Also – flip over and add additional Foam Adhesive cut strips to letters to reinforce.
  • I then added the acorns – as shown.

Whether hung on a door or used as a centerpiece, this piece radiates handcrafted warmth and celebrates the beauty of fall in every detail. PLUS – I have so much fun making it!

  1. Your wreath is so pretty. I have been trying to decide if I really need it. I have a new seven month old basset hound puppy who does not like me making cards. He has been destroying about as many cards as I get made. He has ruined tons of ribbons, cardstock etc. – it is great that I have a ton stashed away! I just used the Hollyhock kits with a class of nursing home patients. That had a great time making the cards. I have some left over that I can use for my own use which is great as I need a bunch of birthday cards this month and next. So, I would say it is one of my favorites. I just ordered the new nutcrackers kit and the new November exclusive of the Calm whatever kit. I am mainly a red and green holiday person but trying to use other colors. Bottom line, I love your wreath!
