Great cards! Lots of ideas here. Most joy for card making? Well, last week I was invited to a nursing home to show them how to make some cards. They wanted “thinking of you” ones. I used the hollyhock SU kits. I had three kits so they could make several if they wanted. They had a great time. I brought extra sentiments like birthday etc in case they needed to change it. I brought lots of retired bling as they love their bling! One woman had lost a good friend the day before and she made hers into a sympathy card that was very pretty. The activity director brought out a bag of cards I had made last year for them. They used my extra embelishments on them and had a great time doing that. One woman did 10 cards for her family. One for her daughter who visits her every day. She took the rhinestones and made a big star shape inside the card. We used the computer and printed out “You are my shining” in the middle of it. She gave me a hug for helping her. I had no idea of how many would show up and to what abilities they had but everyone was smiling and happy with their cards. Some needed one on one help while others could make them. One an who came just to watch heard the ladies ask me to come back for Christmas cards. He came over and asked if I could help him make a snowman card next time as he had a great grandchild he wanted to give it to the child when they came to visit.
