Stamping with the STARS #366: Sketch with Bloom Where You’re Planted

I created today’s sketch.  It’s a copy of a layout I used on another card that I haven’t shared yet, but will soon.

I reached for the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite products.  It’s currently my favorite suite that I’m playing with.  Love the colors, images and sentiment/fonts.

How’d She DO That? Bloom Where You’re Planted sketch card:

• Stamps/Bundle: Plentiful Plants
• Paper:
  • Smoky Slate (4-1/4″ x 11″ card base)
  • Basic White (2-1/2″ x 3-5/8″)
  • Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper (3″ x 5-1/2″) – 15% off

DOstamping Tips:

• To create a fuller leafy image:  Ink image with Just Jade ink and stamp once.  Then without re-inking, turn image slightly and stamp again.  Stamp a third time without re-inking, turning image in the other direction.
• How to select just the right color card base?  For this card, I tried three different colors, Just Jade (which seemed too dark), Cinnamon Cider (which I was leaning towards), and then landed on Smoky Slate – which felt just right.  I call that the “Goldilocks” feel.  You know, that feeling when something doesn’t feel quite right – you change the color or size and voila – now it works!
