Stamping with the STARS #448: Sketch with Branching Out Bundle

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts449.  Today it’s our pleasure share another Sketch Inspiration with you. It’s a simple layout with big potential!

I’ve been itchin’ to use the Branching Out Bundle (which is back in stock-yay!). I paired it with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper for a masculine card. Masculine cards can be tricky, but this one hits the mark with earthy tones, woodgrain textures, and natural elements.

Even though this card came together quickly, there are a few creative touches I want to highlight that elevate it from simple to standout. See my DOstamping Tips below.

💡DOstamping Tips: 

• ✏️ Use a Sketch as a Springboard
  • Sketches are more than just templates—they’re creative launchpads!
  • This one gave me the perfect structure to showcase texture, layering, and a nature-inspired focal point. I tilted the tag slightly for a relaxed, organic feel and let the pine branches and pinecone embellishment take center stage.
• ✂️ Enlist the Cut and Flip It Trick
  • The Country Woods Designer Series Paper adds just the right amount of rustic charm, especially when you cut and flip the paper to reveal contrasting patterns.
  • Cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of DSP at 1-3/4″ (from the top) and flip it!
  • It’s a simple trick that adds depth and interest without bulk
• 🧵 Customizing Ribbon & Trims
  • The Irregular Weave 3/8″ Trim is a hidden gem!
  • I changed the color of the trim by using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake ink to better coordinate with the card’s palette.
  • It’s a subtle detail, but it ties everything together beautifully and gives the trim a more tailored look.
