Stamping with the STARS #451: Sketch with Lovely Blossoms Suite

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts451.  Today it’s our pleasure share another Sketch Inspiration with you. It’s a simple layout with big potential!

🎿 STARS Creative Olympic Challenge — Ski Jump Event

This month’s #DOswts451 Sketch is the featured prompt for our Ski Jump Event in the DOstamperSTARS Creative Olympics (one of 6 events). Create a card inspired by the sketch to complete this event!

The Lovely Blossoms Suite brings such a gentle, uplifting vibe. When paired with the floral DSP, a soft blue (Cloud Cover) background and a crisp diagonal sentiment strip, it perfectly reflects our sketch. I also added the single flower and a bit of ribbon for just enough dimension without overwhelming the sketch.

💡DOstamping Tips: 

• On Cloud Cover panel, arrange pattern background die near top/center and die cut.
• For sentiment with scallop trim:
  • On the 7/8″ white strip, stamp sentiment on right side (but not too close to the edge)
  • Trim off a row of 6 circles from the Secret Sea circles background die cut. Adhere under sentiment with right edges matching (there will be a “blank” space on the left, which the flower will cover up.
  • Adhere to card at an angle – bring up on right side as far as possible – let it over hang on right edge, then trim left and right edge to match panel.
• For flower:
  • On white scrap, stamp flower, lightly blend with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and die cut.
  • Fold 5″ of ribbon in half and adhere behind flower. Then adhere to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I always enjoy a good diagonal sketch, and this one was the perfect excuse to pull out the Lovely Blossoms Suite again. Soft florals, sweet details, and a sentiment that feels like a hug… what’s not to love?

This layout is wonderfully flexible—swap the colors, change the sentiment, or try a different embellishment and you’ll have a whole new look.
