Storybook Moments: You’re the Most Awesome Fisherman!

If you’re thinking ahead for Father’s Day (June 15), then you’ll enjoy today’s card featuring a couple of the fun die cuts from the Storybook Moments Suite.

When I was making the Black & Pink Tote (that I shared here), I discovered some tiny little “fish” shapes on my crafting space.

I thought, “where did they come from”?  Well, they came from some of the decorative shapes included the Notes & Totes Dies.  I thought they would pair well with the badger fishman die cut from the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper.

How’d She DO That? Awesome Fisherman card

• Stamps: Storybook Friends, Trusty Tools
• Paper:
  • Pool Party (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ card base)
  • Basic White (4″ x 5-1/4″)
  • Crumb Cake (1″ x 2-1/4″)
  • Early Espresso (scrap for “fish” die cuts from Notes & Totes Dies)
  • Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper (pre-cut shapes)
• Ink:  Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, Pool Party, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack
• Other:  Blending Brushes, Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Notes & Totes Dies, Stampin’ Seal, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• To create the landscape:
  • on white panel, using Storybook Friends, stamp the rocks image near the bottom with Early Espresso ink.
  • use Blending Brushes to add Pecan Pie ink for the “ground & rock fence”, and Pool Party ink to create “water”,
  • use Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color the “bushes” in the rock fence line.
• Adhere Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper die cuts with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Adhere Notes & Totes “fish” die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

How cute is this?  My husband loves to fish, so this will be perfect for him for Father’s Day or even his birthday.
